Raglan Road is a popular dining location at Disney Springs. The restaurant is known for its spirited live entertainment, traditional Irish beers, and laid-back atmosphere.
This dining spot at Disney Springs had caught my attention for its vibrant gold, yellow, and green architecture (very Irish, of course!) and the live music playing on the patio. However, I had never actually ventured into the pub up until this point. So when I was planning out places to eat for our last trip, I was delighted to snag a reservation!

After enjoying a delicious meal at Wine Bar George (review) earlier that evening, we were ready to shift gears and have a taste of Ireland. The reservations I had made for us worked out perfectly. After dinner, the two of us had a little bit of time to kill, allowing me to see my sister, Kayla, who was working at Disney Springs at the time. We were waiting for her to get a break at work so that we could say hello. Since we’re very close and don’t often get to see each other, you can imagine how anxious I was!

With this in mind, Brennan and I headed over to our next reservation at Raglan Road. The restaurant is located in The Landing area of Springs, so it wasn’t a very far walk from Wine Bar George. It was nice walking around a bit and showing Brennan some of the new additions to the area. He had not visited since Disney changed the area from Downtown Disney and was blown away by the added theming and atmosphere.
We arrived at the pub and were seated at the bar on the outside patio. A few minutes after our arrival, a live performer started playing. We think it was Matt Something. Matt Something, if you are reading this, you are very talented! Brennan is a musician himself (among his many talents!), and he loves live performances, so we were very excited about this. The performer was singing traditional Irish melodies and playing his guitar, and I must say he was quite good. The other guests got really into the performance, too, so it was an entertaining atmosphere.

I think Brennan had a great time at this place in part because he and many members of his family attended Notre Dame, home of the Fighting Irish. The songs and the lively atmosphere brought him back to his college days that he holds dear to his heart. I could see him light up as he was singing along with the performer, even looking up the lyrics on his phone to follow along. He really let loose and had an awesome time with it!
Foodies that we are, Brennan and I decided to continue our night of sampling as much as our stomachs could accommodate! We ordered the beer flight as well as a small plate for us to share. We were delivered Harplager, Guinness, Kilkenny, and Smithwicks. I am partial to lighter beers myself, and so that was what I enjoyed the most. Brennan loved it all!

The small plate we ordered, which was on the pub’s all-day menu, was the Whiskey BBQ Chicken Lollipops. Part of my food philosophy is that you ought to explore some dishes that are whimsical and push beyond what you’d typically try when you’re on vacation. And these chicken lollipops definitely met that criteria in a good way!

The dish consisted of four “lollipop” chicken drumsticks covered in a sweet whiskey barbecue sauce. Sprinkled over them was a corn and bacon crumble. These were delicious, and if we had been able to, I feel that Brennan and I would have eaten even more of them. The sweetness of the corn and the barbecue sauce was well balanced with the salty and savory elements of the dish’s meat. It turned out to be a perfect option for guests like us who were visiting this location less for a big meal and more to enjoy a few drinks and some tasty snacks.

Overall, my boyfriend and I found Raglan Road to be a fun and laid-back destination on our trip to Disney Springs. Eventually, we want to sample more of the items on their dinner menu. However, I think we’ll plan that for another visit when we did not just eat at a gourmet restaurant first.
