Biggest Travel Adventure: My Biggest travel adventure was when we took a family trip to Utah in the summer of 2023! This was by far the most remote, out of my comfort zone trip I have ever taken. Capitol Reef resort and national park was located about 3.5 hours outside of any major city, but the views and family memories were worth all the travel time!

Next On My Bucket List: We are planning on cruising with Disney Cruise Line to Alaska in the next few years!

Secret Travel Tip: Pack each day’s outfits in different packing cubes. It will make packing lighter and then you can just take one cube out for each day! No over packing needed!

Emily Cavanagh

Travel Advisor

Emily specializes in all Disney Destinations and Universal Destinations & Experiences.

Biggest Travel Adventure: Traveling with our two-year-old son Andrew to Disney World twice, Grand Cayman, and Hawaii all in one year! The best adventures and memories we could have!

Next On My Bucket List: First would be Disneyland Paris and to travel to all Disney parks.

Secret Travel Tip: Taking advantage of an earlier flight to gain a day for adventuring and exploring the destination. Getting a better idea of how to get to different points of interest and prioritizing some things you may discover prior to your arrival.

Dina Cegelka

Travel Advisor

Dina specializes in all Disney Destinations, Universal Destinations & Experiences, and cruises.

Biggest Travel Adventure: Traveling to Italy! I spent a month traveling all over Italy and it was a trip of a lifetime. I was able to stay in so many beautiful areas and immerse myself in the culture.

Next On My Bucket List: Tokyo Japan! I can’t wait to travel abroad again and see go to my first Disney Parks abroad.

Secret Travel Tip: Packing Cubes! I always just do a carry on so packing cubes help keep me organized and pack everything I need for my adventures.

Megan Delaney

Travel Advisor

Megan specializes in luxury travel. Her areas of expertise include all Disney Destinations, Universal Destinations & Experiences, and Wine Excursions around the globe.

Biggest Travel Adventure: My biggest travel adventure was a two-week-long tour of Japan.  One of my favorite places on Earth.

Next Place On My Bucket List: The next place on my bucket list – A week long Croatian wine excursion.

Secret Travel Tip:“The trip is the trip” starting with the drive to the airport! A great plan is crucial, but being flexible and rolling with the punches is just as essential.

Samantha Foerster

Travel Advisor

Samantha specializes in all Disney Destinations and Universal Destinations & Experiences.

Biggest Travel Adventure: My biggest travel adventure was taking my kids to Walt Disney World for the first time. It was so incredibly magical. I took my first steps as a child at Walt Disney World and seeing the adventure through their eyes transformed us as a family. Because of this, I put my everything into trips for my clients. “Laughter is timeliness, imagination has no age and dreams are forever.” – Walt Disney

Next On My Bucket List: The next place on my bucket list, I’m a Disney girl, through and through, but #1 on my bucket list is Ireland!  Ireland is a significant part of my heritage and DNA and cannot wait to explore my own personal history with my family. Thankfully, Firefly Travels has experts for all destinations and I’ll leave that planning to the expert.

Secret Travel Tip: My secret travel tip is to engage with an expert to help familiarize yourself with your destination! Not “secret” but most assume they can do this on their own, however most information online is outdated. Engaging a travel expert for your destination not only secures the most up to date information on your destination, but allows you to focus on being present and not stress about “what’s next.”

Biggest Travel Adventure: I traveled to Disneyland in 2023 for my first official park visit! It was surreal as I walked down Main Street in the footsteps of Walt for the first time. On this trip I had the opportunity to experience the Main Street Story Tour where I was able to spend some time in Walt’s personal apartment. This was such a memorable day for me as I learned more about the history of Walt’s life, story and the “Happiest Place on Earth.”

Next On My Bucket List: I dream about visiting the Mediterranean. I look forward to visiting Greece and Italy specifically. I cannot wait to see the beautiful blue water and be immersed in what each country and culture has to offer.

Secret Travel Tip: I always advise my clients book the earliest flight possible so that they can get an extra day out of their vacation. This also helps to lessen the chance of your flight being cancelled should weather or air traffic issues compound throughout the day.

Cindy Hios

Travel Advisor

Cindy specializes in all Disney Destinations and Universal Destinations & Experiences.

Biggest Travel Adventure: My biggest travel adventure was a 10-day cruise through the Eastern Caribbean, with stops at seven different islands. We booked local tour guides at each port which allowed us to get authentic experiences at each destination.

Next On My Bucket List: The next place on my bucket list is Egypt! We are planning a 10-day trip including a Nile River cruise.

Secret Travel Tip: My secret travel tip is fly in early and fly out late! Most hotels and resorts will hold your luggage for you before you check-in and after you check-out. Doing this really allows you to maximize your time at your destination.

Emily Kasler

Travel Advisor

Emily specializes in all Disney Destinations and Universal Destinations & Experiences.

Biggest Travel Adventure: My Biggest Travel Adventure was snorkeling in Key Largo, in a coral reef 16 miles off the coast!

Next On My Bucket List: Bucket list destinations for my family and I are Alaska and I have always wanted to go to Greece. Those may be a few years off. I am really looking forward to heading to Glacier Bay National Park in 2025!

Secret Travel Tip: Enjoy each moment and give yourself grace. Sometimes things don’t always go planned, and you have to roll with the punches.

Anna Lazuka

Travel Advisor

Anna specializes in international travel. Her areas of expertise include Sandals & Beaches Resorts, all-inclusive vacations, the US Virgin Islands, all Disney Destinations, Universal Destinations & Experiences, and all cruises.

Biggest Travel Adventure: My biggest travel adventure is tied between going to South Africa and Fiji. Visiting South Africa offers a rich cultural tapestry, diverse landscapes, and the chance to see iconic wildlife like lions and elephants. Fiji, on the other hand, provides a tropical paradise with stunning beaches, vibrant coral reefs, and a unique blend of Polynesian and Indian influences. Each destination offers a distinct and unforgettable experience.

Next On My Bucket List: The next place on my bucket list is Thailand and Egypt.

Secret Travel Tip: Bring a yeti type mug with you when you travel. Its always nice to have your own cup PLUS they are perfect for bringing home those fragile shells you may have found!!!

Deanna Macioce

Travel Advisor

Deanna specializes in travel to all Disney Destinations and Universal Destinations & Experiences. Deanna also co-hosts To Disney and Beyond! A Travel Podcast.

Biggest Travel Adventure: For me, each trip I take is a new adventure to collect “moments” and make memories. Favorites include my Honeymoon to Hawaii, where we spent 10 days exploring three of the islands, to our recent week-long family cruise on the Disney Fantasy, giving us dedicated family time to relax, enjoy the magic of Disney and explore different countries. I also loved escaping to Key West with my husband, a trip that fit our style of relaxing, walking and exploring, enjoying the sights, food, and sounds of the area.

Next On My Bucket List: My bucket list includes both large and small destinations, however my ultimate travel bucket list destination is Australia, and I look forward to exploring the country, seeing kangaroos, koalas, and the beaches.

Secret Travel Tip: Make sure you plan destinations and trips that fit “you” …when you do that you find that you are the most relaxed, less stressed, and collect the most moments!

Savannah Mentall

Travel Advisor

Savannah specializes in all Disney Destinations and Universal Destinations & Experiences. Cruising with Disney Cruise Line is one of her areas of expertise.

Biggest Travel Adventure: My biggest travel adventure was getting to experience two different Disney Cruises! My family and I had so much fun exploring the ships, trying delicious new food, and traveling offshore in places like the Bahamas, Jamaica, and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. It was an unforgettable, magical experience!

Next On My Bucket List: The next place on my bucket list is probably somewhere in Europe! I have always had a fascination with the beautiful architecture and scenery that places like Paris, Italy, and Rome have to offer and have dreamed of going myself since I can remember!

Secret Travel Tip: My secret travel tip is that I love to always look up packing lists online and check the items off as I pack so I don’t forget anything important! So far, I have always found myself prepared and not missing anything.

Sophia Pearson

Biggest Travel Adventure: My biggest travel adventure was exploring Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for 10 days. We got to visit places like the St. Wolfgang, Salzburg, Frankfurt and so many other beautiful places.

Next On My Bucket List: The next place on my bucket list is Scotland and Ireland.

Secret Travel Tip: My secret travel tip for when you are traveling with little ones is to bring a grandparent!

Carmela Poggemeyer

Travel Advisor

Carmela Specializes in all Disney Destinations, Universal Destinations & Experiences, and cruises with Royal Caribbean.

Biggest Travel Adventure: My biggest travel adventure so far has been to Peru. As much as I love to travel to Disney, exploring other places excites me. I always enjoy learning new things, so taking in the sights, sounds, tastes of the culture was a highlight for me. I was able to experience this destination with Adventures by Disney where the itinerary, service and experiences were planned and organized for me and exceeded my expectations. The capstone of this trip was being able to hike Mount Machu Picchu, and is definitely one that will stay in my memory bank.

Next On My Bucket List: Next on my bucket list of travel is Ireland.  Continuing my love for travel and experiencing the world, I look forward to visiting this country to take in the beautiful scenery while indulging in the heritage that it offers. This is a special place on my list because of its meaningful connection… my grandmother is of Irish descent. Visiting Ireland will be a way for me to connect with the roots of my family, and experience the culture that has shaped my grandmother’s background. It adds a personal and sentimental touch to my travel plans.

Secret Travel Tip: My biggest travel tip…YOU CAN GO TO DISNEY FOR ANY AMOUNT OF TIME!   Over the course of the last year, I have began to take in my favorite place, Disney World, more often. Taking advantage of planning short weekend trips, last minute trips, and even one day trips. I learned to navigate the right flights, days, and experiences to book  so that I don’t ever feel like I am too far from ‘home’. Doing Disney in shorter spurts gives you the ability to visit at all different times of year and enjoy all events and happenings on a regular basis. So, if you are missing your “happy” place, know that doing a shorter or last minute trip is still magical!

Cheryl Roth

Travel Advisor

Cheryl specializes in international travel, land tours, and curated trips to Europe, Canada, the Caribbean, and our U.S. National Parks.

Biggest Travel Adventure: My biggest travel adventure was staying in an igloo in Zermatt, Switzerland. We took a train halfway up the mountain where we met our group for the night. We then trekked our way through the snow to an igloo mountain village. We had cheese fondue and mulled wine for dinner, went snowshoeing under the gaze of the Matterhorn, relaxed in a hot tub overlooking the stars, and slept in a private (and cold) igloo! The next morning, we sled down the mountain to breakfast!

Next Place On My Bucket List: Tromsø, Norway or New Zealand.

Secret Travel Tip: When we travel overseas, we don’t fully adjust to their time zone. If it’s a six-hour difference, we only change about three hours. We sleep in later and go to bed later. It makes it so much easier to get back into a schedule and not be as jet lagged.

Jaime Rutledge

Travel Advisor

Jaime specializes in all Disney Destinations, Universal Destinations & Experiences, cruises and all-inclusive vacations.

Biggest Travel Adventure: While I absolutely love all-things Disney & Universal, my biggest travel adventure was when my husband and I went to The Riviera Maya in Mexico. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort, and I fell in love with the complete experience, from the beaches and endless food options, to the nighttime shows and all-you-can-drink cantinas. We enjoyed an excursion that started with ziplining and repelling through the trees, cooling off while snorkeling in an underground cenote, and ended with an authentic Mexican meal with some locals. We also explored the Mayan Ruins of Tulum, which was unforgettable!

Next On My Bucket List: I cannot wait to visit Ireland since I tend to nerd-out over all things medieval: castles, sword-fighting, jousting, you-name-it! One of my favorite book series’ takes place in Ireland, so it would be very cool to see places like the Cliffs of Moher and the Temple Bar District in Dublin. I would explore the fairytale towns by day and (maybe) try some karaoke at the pubs after dark.

Secret Travel Tip: I always roll my clothes in my suitcase instead of folding them. I’ve found that rolling takes up less space (so I can bring all the outfits) and even reduces wrinkles!

TORRI STONE

Travel Advisor

Torri specializes in all Disney Destinations and Universal Destinations & Experiences.

Biggest Travel Adventure: My biggest travel adventure was in March of this past year! We took out four kiddos on a six-night Disney cruise on the Disney Dream! It was so fun, and we made so many everlasting memories traveling to another country with our boys ranging from eight months to six-years-old. It was an adventure within itself but the memories we made as soon as we started out cruise was worth it all!

Next On My Bucket List: The next place on my bucket travel list is Disneyland!

Secret Travel Tip: My secret travel tip is to enjoy the little things: the time spent together, smiles on everyone’s faces, and seeing your kids really believe in the magic! Those little moments can really make your trip magical.

Tammy Underwood

Travel Advisor

Tammy specializes in international travel, and curated trips to Hawaii, Europe, and the Caribbean.

Biggest Travel Adventure: A tie between snorkeling with the Manta Rays on the Big Island in Hawaii and learning to cook ravioli in a local chef’s home in Lake Como, Italy.

Next On My Bucket List: Greece!! I’ll see the “normal” islands like Mykonos and Santorini, but I really want to go to Skopelos, the island where Mama Mia was filmed, and climb the church stairs.

Secret Travel Tip: NEVER check your bag! If you miss a connection, if the flight cancels, if you need to change your destination because of weather, illness or unforeseen emergency – you’ll be without your luggage. Always keep bags with you.

Kimberly Zamecnik

Travel Advisor

Kimberly specializes in destination weddings, group travel, all-inclusive vacations, and trips to Arizona, California & Las Vegas.

Biggest Travel Adventure: A month in Europe. Traveling to Barcelona, Madrid, London, beautiful Switzerland, Munich, Venice, Florence, Rome, Paris, and Amsterdam. The trip of a lifetime.

Next Place On My Bucket List: Greece, the gorgeous island landscapes, coastline, and architecture is absolutely stunning, and I couldn’t think of a place with better weather and beaches.

Secret Travel Tip: Talk to the locals when you go. They always have the best advice, including an amazing restaurant you would have never heard of a place you just have to see, or an activity you have to do. Some of my best recommendations come from the people I talk to at the places I go.

Next On My Bucket List: The next place on my bucket list is Thailand, my mom was born in Thailand, and I want to experience the beauty and culture and learn more about my heritage.

Secret Travel Tip: My secret travel tip is to put an AirTag in your luggage so you can easily track it if it gets lost.

JoAnne Higham

Travel Advisor

JoAnne specializes in all Disney Destinations, Universal Destinations and Experiences, cruises, and all-inclusive vacations.

Biggest Travel Adventure: My Biggest Travel Adventure was snorkeling in Key Largo, in a coral reef 16 miles off the coast!
