GEO-82 is one of EPCOT’s newest lounge experiences, located inside Spaceship Earth and available exclusively to guests ages 21 and over. Since opening, it has drawn significant attention for its upscale atmosphere and often difficult to secure reservations. In this review, we are sharing our firsthand experience at GEO-82, including what to expect and whether it may be worth prioritizing during a visit to EPCOT.

Upon arrival, we waited in a small line to check-in for our reservation. Once we reached the podium, a cast member confirmed our reservation and then told us we could take the elevators or stairs to an additional waiting area upstairs. We were told we would receive a text when our seats came available.

This is when we first began to notice the attention to detail. A small plaque hangs on a wall between the elevator and staircase, offering a nod to Spaceship Earth.

Once upstairs, we found a seat in the more formal waiting area. Here are a few photos of the space that features artwork representing Spaceship Earth.

While we were waiting, I checked out a display case featuring glasses that guests can purchase. Both GEO-82 wine glasses and rock glasses are available. Per the signage, the Luigi Bormioli wine glasses are created with traditional Italian craftsmanship and new glass-making technology. They feature lead-free crystal of the highest quality and are dishwasher safe. If you decide to purchase a set, you can let your server know. They will likely mention it during your time in the lounge.

We waited approximately 10 minutes for our table. A cast member escorted us to a seat by the window. This particular reservation was at about 12:30 p.m. and since we ordered food, it served the purpose of a light lunch. Here are a few pictures I took of the lounge and the bar area.

We were lucky enough to be seated next to a window. Since this seat was at the end of a long row of window seats, it felt exceptionally private. Our view faced World Celebration Gardens.

After a quick introduction, our server recommended a few drinks and appetizers. We started with the Brown Butter Old-Fashioned and a glass of the A. Bergère ‘Origine’ Brut NV champagne.

The old-fashioned is described as Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Bourbon, Brown Butter, Maple, and Hella Cocktail Co. Mexican Chocolate Bitters. As you can imagine, this is a strong cocktail made with premium spirits. It comes with a single square ice cube that features Spaceship Earth.

I was unfamiliar with the French champagne when our server suggested it. However, when he said it was similar to the Taittinger brand, I knew it was the way to go. If you enjoy a glass of the bubbly drink from time to time, this is a treat. We were pleased with both drinks and the fact that they were poured table side was a nice touch.

Now for the food, which turned out to be the highlight of our time at the lounge. Since our reservation time was during what most consider to be the normal lunch hour, we decided to share two dishes. We ordered the Chef’s Selection of Artisanal Cheeses, Cured Meats, and Accompaniments. Additionally, we decided to try the Truffled Ahi Tuna.

Here is the charcuterie platter, which was a substantial offering. For us, this was reminiscent of what you might receive at a signature restaurant. The meat selections and accompaniments all felt like a small luxury. It was one of those things where you keep going back to try different bites, as you try to decide which thing you like the best.

I couldn’t imagine returning to the lounge and not ordering the platter again. It was delicious and filling.

Next, we have the Truffled Ahi Tuna, which is reminiscent of sashimi. This dish is described as Japanese Whisky Barrel-aged Soy-Truffle Ponzu, Citrus, Scallion, Tobiko, and Black Sesame Seeds.

Those who enjoy delicacies, will want to order this very special dish. While we didn’t get a ton of truffle flavor, the Tobiko, which is similar to a caviar, elevated the dish. I loved it but found I enjoyed my second bite more when I removed the bite of citrus. I’m not entirely sure if it was intended, but the slice of orange was more bitter than sweet.

This is definitely something we would order again. That said, we’ll prioritize trying a few other menu items first.

Overall, we had an incredible time. GEO-82 is an upscale lounge that offers a relaxing vibe. It’s a place we’ll look forward to returning to again and again. Now, while the lounge is higher end, it’s important to remember that it resides in a theme park. You are welcome to dress up as much as you like, but theme park casual is completely fine. In fact, most of the people during our visit were wearing casual shirts and shorts as were we.

We hope you enjoyed this review of the lounge and it helped you discern whether or not it was worth a visit. I know we’ll be happy to return. If  this option is high on your list of must-do’s let us know so we can prioritize helping you secure reservations when we book your travel.
