In this article, we share where to find different varieties of Butterbeer at Universal Studios Orlando.

Some muggles visit Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in Orlando for action-packed thrill rides, delicious dining, and on-site, family-friendly resorts. Others visit for the Universal CityWalk nightlife, exclusive events, and Volcano Bay water park.

While these features undoubtedly cultivate unforgettable memories, MY primary reason for visiting the parks is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Below, I’ll share my sincere love of each type of Butterbeer and where to find each kind!

1. Hot Butterbeer

Imagine starting your day on a relaxing water taxi from your Premier hotel. You get early entry into the parks and decide to enjoy a warm breakfast at The Three Broomsticks. You are walking through the snow-frosted streets of Hogsmeade and realize you forgot a hot beverage to get you going! Don’t fear – Hot Butterbeer is here! This is my #1 form of Butterbeer, with its rich taste – not too sweet or bitter – it is PERFECTION!

  • Hogsmeade: The Three Broomsticks and Hog’s Head

2. Cold Butterbeer

With early park entry, you already got to ride Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, and you’ve been using your Universal Express Unlimited pass to its fullest. You came face-to-face with a dementor on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and even showed your bravery on the new Jurassic World VelociCoaster. It’s time to toast yourself with a tasty, foamy, cold Butterbeer. You can order a separate shot of Fireball Cinnamon Whisky (but don’t mix them together) if you want to spice things up. Huzzah!

  • Hogsmeade: The Three Broomsticks, Hog’s Head, and two Butterbeer street carts

3. Butterbeer Ice Cream

It’s now midday, and the sun is high! You used your park-to-park ticket to ride the Hogwarts Express train to Diagon Alley. You purchase a few goodies at Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes and go deep underground while riding Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringotts. It’s getting hot, and as you wait to watch the fire-breathing dragon atop Gringotts Wizarding Bank, you decide it’s time for Butterbeer ice cream. While I love ALL Butterbeer, this is one of my top 2 favorites. Please note-you CANNOT add sprinkles (I asked and was told NO!).

4. Butterbeer Fudge

You take the water taxi back to your resort for a short swim and a nap. When returning to the parks, you grab some Burgushi (a burger and sushi infusion) at CowFish! This time, you start in Diagon Alley, shop at Borgin and Burks, and meet the Knight Bus Driver. From there, you take the Hogwarts Express train back to Hogsmeade since the rides are different in each park. Back in Hogsmeade, you see the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang at the Triwizard Spirit Rally. Finally, you buy some mouthwatering Butterbeer fudge for a much-deserved treat.

5. Frozen Butterbeer

It’s the end of the day, and the parks will be closing – you did it! You grab a frozen Butterbeer to celebrate your accomplishments and find a perfect viewing spot of The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle. The magical display is unlike anything you’ve ever seen, and you silently thank yourself for using a travel advisor to help plan it all.
